Ronald Reagan started the Eagle program, and 2014 marks its 29th year. What makes the Eagle so popular? Is it its one-Troy-ounce gold content, Saint-Gaudens-inspired obverse, or the U.S. Government’s guaranty of weight and purity? You decide. But don’t wait! These big gold coins must be minted in newly mined U.S. gold, which limits the number available.

Coins are definitely a very wise investment, great info in the video. Americans use the same gold alloy system that the British used on the sovereigns, which is 22 carat gold (when gold was for circulation). The South African Krugerrand is the exact same composition as the Eagle, and the Britannia was the same up until 2013. The Eagle and Krugerrand coins actually weigh more than 1 ounce, with the remaining weight being the added silver and copper.

Great vid! Bullion is gold or silver that is considered for it's metal value vs. collector value. Bullion is for investment purposes. Gold or silver bars are a good example but many coins are also considered bullion.

Great coin you have there. Demand and supply is an economic model of price determination in a market. Silver and gold is a good long-term investment for those who can afford it, BUT it seems to me that continuous growth of the gold price is clearly due to artificial market manipulation intentionally created by rich and powerful. By escalating people's interest and their further desires, it is obvious why price is continue sky rocketing as the next cycle begins.
