George 111 silver crown

Postby CliffB » 10 August 2016

Hi all, now this coin was one of my best finds as far as coins go, George 111, ST George and the Dragon silver Crown 1818 (LV111), unfortunately it was not the ERROR edge .
The condition was not brilliant but i was buzzing for days lol

Hi SilverSnake, sometimes it better to check for any footpaths on your land, or parks and i have heard of a lot of people in the States doing school playing fields, which we cannot do over here, we search maps going back as far as we can find, farms here have names for their fields , which can tell us about the field i.e church field, skirmish field and so on.
Also it might help Googling the area where you are interested in going metal detecting as a place name of a town can sometimes give you a clue to why it was name or named after hope this is helpful to you

The Bounty Hunter Gold digger is your best option in my opinion! Its a great price, works really well and has a waterproof coil! I bought mine on Amazon for 80 bucks and ive found countless valuables and trinkets!
