Elements: Gold

Postby Freddy » 04 March 2017

We all think we know gold: it's beautiful, expensive and unchanging. But how much do you really know about its properties? What happens when you mix it with mercury? And what else will it react with?

Andrea Sella, chemist, answers these questions in this film, which is part of our Elements series. He is curating an Elements event with Hugh Aldersey-Williams on Friday 22 June 2012 that will look at gold, silver and bronze (tin and copper). This special late night event will have activities, talks, performance and live experiments happening all over the building.

I've been following the story about gold and silver fixing for some time now. I've also been aware of the recent story about Deutsche Bank openly admitting to participating in these market fixes. In this report you've added new bits of important information which helps create a more complete picture. Criminal behaviour in the financial sector is certainly nothing new. However the scale of market manipulation is so vast now as to make the concept of free markets redundant. The criminal enterprise of international bankers make the Mafia look like total amateurs.

Fiat currency was created to steal gold and silver from the public. Don't go by the value of gold. Even if gold was worth $5000 an ounce it means nothing because fiat currency is a promissory note....the dollar value of gold is fake. What they don't want you to know is simple...JP Morgan said it best, gold is money, everything else is credit. Governments don't care about the fluctuations of gold, because it's being valued against fiat currency which they know is fake. In summary...valuing gold against fiat currency is like valuing gold against a rock...$1000000 for an ounce of Gold...meaning nothing. Gold is real money. Its value is based on its rarity and intrinsic value and the fact that human conscious is obsessed with the metal.

There is no wealth going to be taken away because all these paper assets are fake wealth, an illusion of wealth. The factories will still be here, people just need to go back to work and trade with real money, gold and silver.
